Product Description
The basic components of a diesel engine include the crankshaft–connecting rod mechanism and engine block, the valve train, the fuel supply system, the lubrication system, the cooling system, and the starting system. Its operating cycle follows the four-stroke cycle, which comprises the intake stroke, compression stroke, power stroke, and exhaust stroke. At the end of the compression stroke, high-pressure fuel is injected into the hot, high-pressure air and ignites by compression; the air–fuel mixture then undergoes a period of ignition delay, followed by rapid combustion, slow combustion, and afterburning before complete combustion is achieved.
